Hey everyone i hope you had a very prosperous and blessed week! This week was not very good for me I had some distractions and I was out of town. I gained 1lb which is not a very positive outcome for me. I ate a lot of non healthy options which I am not very proud of but this just makes me go stronger for the following week. I'm blessed with the fact that my husband is joining me in this weight loss journey. This is a good thing because, before I always tried dieting alone and its not an easy process. I always ended up making two different meals and would suffer every time i would see my hubby eating a something delicious and I was eating some lousy dietary meal:( this time we decided to take the step together. We will be each others cheerleader every step of the way. I have also began giving my son healthier meal choices being that childhood obesity is increasing every year more and more. I have to start him now that he's 2 so he won't have the problems that his parents had their entire lives
I have been doing alot of research online on healthy family meals. I constantly check for different low calorie recipes that we will all enjoy. For example there is one that I made that my husband absolutely loves which is a beef stir fry with carrots, broccoli, peppers, and asparagus very yummy and every serving is 195 calories :D with this recipe I included some long grain rice because we Dominicans love rice. This recipe I used chopped garlic, corn starch, pepper, salt, ground ginger and a couple of more things. I also have done chicken stir fry with orange and yellow peppers; this one is my favorite So right now I have become a stir fry expert. I plan on doing a veggie lasagna this week I will let you guys know how that goes.
I have subscribed to a couple of healthy magazines to help us through this journey. I have decided that i don't want this to be a temporary journey i want this to be permanent. My new motto healthier choices longer life!!! Till next week where hopefully i shall have some good news <3
I'm so happy that u and ur hubby are doing this together! I'm so proud of u & admire the fact that u want to see change, I feel u ...me myself having dealing with my weight since a child and hopefully after I give birth ...I can make change where change is due and start a new beginging! Thanks amiga love ya
